SLO Ocean Currents 

Established in 1990 SLO Ocean Currents is locally owned and operated. We are a full service dive shop that sells some of the best quality SCUBA and snorkel gear in the world. Our staff are experts in fitting and equipment knowledge. Where we excel is in our staff of instructors and dive professionals. With over 3000 certifications issued at all levels, we strive to produce a complete educational system that is a fit for every diver. For over 30 years we have taken divers around the world exploring the many breathtaking underwater environments and amazing topside attractions as well. By natures design, we do not need to go far to enjoy some of the worlds best diving. The Santa Barbara Channel Islands, located just two hours south has many dive sites that arguably rival many big name destinations. 

For all of our years service we are always evolving. We have become a well rounded staff of dive enthusiast who all have a different flare for diving but with one common love. Getting wet and exploring what the ocean has for us. Today we teach people how to become instructors and underwater photographers. We are travel specialist, reef ecologist and the eyes of the underwater world. We spearfish and do so with the highest standards of responsible collection and consumption. We generally all have a passion for diving and cannot wait to share that with you. We have taught many second and third generation divers whose parents learned to dive with us. We are proud to continue to add more certified responsible divers to our dive family each year.
