Services

SLO Ocean Currents' repair department currently services our main manufacturers such as Aqualung, Apex, Mares, Sea Quest / US Divers, Sunnto Sherwood, and Genesis Scuba. All service are done with original manufactured parts kits for authorized technicians and dealers. All brands listed above are done in-house and service typically takes 7-10 business days. Rushes are available at additional cost. If you have another brand of dive equipment, we can have it serviced for you by an authorized service center who only uses OEM parts. When servicing, please remember documentation for warranty work if applicable.

Cylinder servicing such as air fills and visuals are available through SLO Ocean Currents. We offer Hydro-Static testing which is sent out to a third party operator. Air fills can typically be completed in 10-15 minutes, whereas visual inspections take 30-60 minutes. Hydro testing is 2-3 weeks. 

Probably the most neglected pieces of dive gear would be the dive cylinder and buoyancy compensators. Please give these consideration when servicing your equipment.

Annual service is comprised of complete disassembly and cleaning of regulators, valves, and power inflation units. Upon inspection, parts will be replaced as necessary at a cost or under warranty replacement policies. The unit is then reassembled and tuned to factory specifications.

In-house standard labor fees for service are:
$40 per stage unless otherwise noted.
Valve rebuilds are $25 unless otherwise noted.
I3 BCD Annual service $35
Air spool service $20
Bench Check regulator $35
Bench Check BCD $30
Computer battery service $20 plus parts for normal batteries unless otherwise quoted

Outside fees are just slightly higher, plus shipping. They are done by factory authorized personnel.
